Found a deeply discounted 8215WLMi at laptopsdirect as I presume Acer are about to refresh this range with a santa rosa platform (see link below). Is this a good deal?

I think it's a good deal. What you see in my sig cost me yesterday 1199 eur, and many people said that what i've bought it's a good deal for the buck. What I like more at the configuration you show is the screen; most of the notebooks come these days with WXGA. Maybe Santa rosa is better than Core2Duo but I don't think there's a huuuge difference.

I guess it's hard to know if it's a good deal without knowing how much the equivalent Santa Rosa laptop will cost and how much extra oomph it will get from the 800 MHz FSB and other goodies?
