Hi, i have had to format my laptop :(

I downloaderd all the drivers listed on the acer website for my laptop, everything has gone great apart from one thing and i cant remember what was in the device manager before hand so am not sure what am missing, basicly i have a network adapter installed fine which is the marvell yukon 88e8038 pci-e fast ethernet controller. but underneath that it keeps saying there is a new network controller to be installed but it doesn't install one from all the drivers i downloaded and now i seem to be stumped as what i should download, the drivers are there for the marvell yukon 88e8038 pci-e fast ethernet controller i would have prosumed the additional driver would be in with it.

Can anyone help or send me a link for the driver i need for this controller based on the laptop i have, it would be a huge help

    thank you

    James

    Hi James,
I'm in the U.S. and have a 3680-2682. I suspect the 3682 is the U.K. version of this computer. I have the Marvell Yukon 88E8038 PCI-E Ethernet Controller and the Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter under Network adapters in the Device Manager. The Driver files are on the C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\athr.sys The driver activity indicator light is to the left of the headphone/SPDIF minijack on the front of the computer. The file version is 7.3.1.42 built by WinDDK. There was an optional update for the driver on windows updates a few weeks ago. Does this help? http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_3680.html
