Problem to play the EA games using Acer Notebook..

At first, i've install EA games Need For Speed Carbon. there is no problem when installation but when i want to play it...it's cannot be played...then i tried install at my friend notebook also Acer but higher specs...also it's cannot be played...then another notebook friends with same brand but this time it's AMD Turion...same results the game cannot be played...

I tried installed the game with my other friends but this time he used Compaq notebook with lower specs than me , 512 ram and AMD Turion same like third friend which uses same spec but different brand...the game can be played in his notebook..

the same problem here, i've install Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in my notebook, but there are same problem cannot be played and i also install with others notebook which using Acer Notebook...also their notebook cannot play the CnC3 game..when i install at the compaq notebook, the game can be played smoothly...

when i played other game that need high requirement, it does'nt have problem..

I'm very upsad..two games i buy cannot be played in my ACER NOTEBOOK...I've higher spec..DUO..1 GB ram...128 Graphic..why my notebook and my other friend which using Acer cannot played EA games??????but the other notebook can be played....

so in this forum i want explanation with forums member and Acer technical support...why this problem occur at Acer Notebook???? is there are setting at my notebook before i install the game??? or Acer Notebook is not good enough compared with Compaq Notebook...

so my fellow member...please help me to solve this problem by replay as soon as possible at this forum or e-mail me..

All EA games generate error logs.Read them.
My guess is DirectX , EA games usually require you to upgrade to the lastest version [DirectX 9.0c itself has different releases, e.g. : June 2006,etc]

 

Works great on my Aspire 5672. Are you running it in Vista or XP?

 

I've played three EA games quite happily on my 8204, what specifically isn't working (not programs, what is the program doing, what do error logs say etc etc)

 

I currently have installed the following EA games and it is flawless.

Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
Battlefield 1942

All play fine. I'd check the Direct X as mujba mentioned previously, also look and see if the game supports widescreen or not (some do not, so you must hack a .confg file)

You all have probably problem with DirectX (maybe install the latest version). I haved similar problem - and i found that in my example there was a DirectX failure and i coudn't play EA Need for Speed MW. I think that your problem is as mine - problem with DirectX .... but who knows
