Acer VCM had problem pairing with my BT VOIP.
Whenever i try to pair, it hangs, can't even scan for BT devices!
So i reinstalled the program as Acer Cust Svc guy told me.
Now i reinstalled it, it can detect BT devices and doesn't hang..
but there's this last issue, which prevents me frm clicking connect!!

No one is experiencing this problem?
How about problems with SQUASHED words in ATI Control Center?
Seems to be related problem, coz i have both issues..
Anyway...
I've found the solution.. I think..
I've also encountered this issue in the ATI Control Centre and Acer VCM..
Restart ur PC, now after everything loads finish try these steps.
1. Right click on Acer Gravi-Sense icon.
2. Enable Anti-theft (Enter pw if first time)
3. Get out of Anti-theft by entering the PW you've entered.
Viola! Everything is fixed, even the ATI Control Centre display properly now.
What i've noticed, ACER Gravi-sense is a PIECE OF SH*T s/w.
It gives file not found error in System Event Viewer.
Also if u never enable then disable anti-heft like what i outlined above after bootup..
Press alt-tab, and u will noticed a "Gravi-Sense" icon, which has no picture,
it's like a corrupted bar that's about 1cm high by 3cm (approximate) on the desktop.
And occassionally, u will notice a "hidenotifytargetwindow" icon in the programs tab when u alt-tab.
I think it's this part of the Gravi-sense program that's causing all the window problems.
That is also part of Acer Gravi-Sense, i hate to say it, but there's alot of
half-as$ programmers at Acer that write all these crap that are not tested properly!
They better come up with newer versions soon.
Can someone verifiy my findings before i send this post to Acer? -
I'll try to take a look when I'm in front on mine again...

phiberx the problem is due to the (large) font size the 8204's ship with.
Go to Display Properties, Advanced tab, the set the DPI to 96 (normal size). Problem solved.
If you prefer the large font sizes, set them under the Appearance tab - doing it there won't mess up 90% of Window/Dialog designs! -
I had just tried it on my 8204 and did not see any problems with the VCM dialog boxes or any others. I bet you are correct about the DPI. That was one of the first things I did to mine was set the fonts size back to 96 DPI.

Hmm.. i guess u guys are right! haha..
Still, the Gravi-sense is giving me weird problems..
Like the invisible corrupted window and missing files..
Problem with ACER VCM on the 8204.
