    Problem with Acer Travelmate C110, possible BIOS failure.

    When I switch it on all that happens is the bluetooth light comes on and nothing else happens. I Googled around a bit and apparently this sort of thing happens when the BIOS goes wrong.

    I don't know whether this is purely coincidental or whether this is the cause of it but the power adaptor broke so I bought a new one on eBay. The new one was 19 volts but the old one was 20 (it also gave an input rating of 20v on the laptop too). I didn't think it would make much difference but this was just a few days before all this started. Do you think the underpowering of the tablet caused the BIOS to go? If so is it possible for me to repair it myself because I expect a shop repair would be pretty costly.
