Hello everryone.
I have a problem with my Acer Aspire 1350, the notebook isnt new, and a CD-rom is broken, so it doesnt work, but for the rest it was fine, and i didnt really needed CD-rom.
But recently they windows gave an error, blue screen when i was starting my notebook, but now not having a working CD-rom was a problem, because i cant recover or i cant reinstall Windows or do anything else.
Now when i start notebook, it starts to load, then i get an black screen, and the notebook just makes some noise like it is loading and after sometime i seen a message on the black screen like there is a problem with hal.dll
But what i want to do is install UBUNTU on that notebook using USB live.
Ive created an bootable USB with UBUNTU on it, tried on my another notebook (dell xps 1530) and it worked fine i could start ubuntu from USB.
But on aspire i CANT, i dont know why.
Anyone knows?
When starting notebook, i push F12 to open the bootmenu, and i choose: boot form REMOVABLE DEVICE, (removable device = that is ment usb right?)
But really nothing happens it just goes back to black screen and yea at the end i get the same error message.
So the question now is: is it possible to boot from USB Aspire 1350 or not?
And what is beeing ment with removable device?
And what is the solution to reinstall my notebook?
I thank you all alrready for your help!
