    I have an aspire 8930 with a Optiarc bd rom bc-5500s.

    I need to copy a couple of DVD's and borrowed some DL +R discs from a neighbour, but am having problems with the drive recognising either of them.

    I believe the unit should be capable of writing DL +R and -R, but am not sure - is this the case and before buying some of my own just wondered if anyone else had any similar problems with this writer.
