    Hello >_<

I am having trouble with the screen of my laptop.

It started off flickering for a few seconds but ont much so I didn't worry to much. Then the screen would turn to white, starting from the bottom right corner, the screen would fill with white squares that would slowly engulf the whole screen. If I tapped the screen a bit, this would stop and it would be fine again. I should mention, whilst the screen is going funny, the image on there is frozen but the computer is still working fine behind it.

Now the computer has got to the point that there is no clear picture at all, as soon as you start it there is just horizontal lines, if you get the screen in the right position you can see the screen and it works for a few seconds with the white squares turn up again.

I am quite sure it is a connection problem but I don't really know what or where to look or what to do basically!

You have to dismantle it and reseat the connector from the mainboard to the monitor.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

I tried dismantling it before but had difficulty. I took all the screws out but it wouldn't open and I was a bit scared to force it on account of not knowing what the heck I was doing!

Is it just a case of being firm with it or do I need some sort of tool?

Any advice on how to open her up and what to look for inside would me muchly appreciated. Or any useful links anyone may have.

Do I open the screen bit of the laptop too?

    Thanks again,

    Sophia
