    Problem with acer aspire 3935 monitor

    So, yeah, suddenly part of the monitor became like this:

    Any ideas on what's wrong and if there is a solution (please laptop god)?

    I thought that the picture spoke for itself but here we go:

    From the photo, you'll see that in the lower middle right portion of the monitor, there's a dark/gray area. It's staying that way. I've verified that there's something wrong with the monitor but I don't know exactly what it is.

    The problem is that the dark/grey area is not showing pictures/colours/anything clearly and/or properly.

    It seems to me that some of the brightness in that specific area has gone for an unknown reason. Just to add, if I touch that area on the monitor, there's no "liquid" effect as opposed to the clear/normal areas of the LCD.

    The laptop has and is being taken care of quite well. No bumps, no sudden change in temps, etc. etc.
