I bought this computer in December 2006.
I got it reformatted just a few weeks ago but boy, it only get worse.

    This is the problem.
When I try to shut down the computer via "start", "shut down" from the start button, the black and white screen that shows "shutdown" "standby" "restart" takes forever to load. It takes a couple minutes (more than 1, less than 6) to show up. I don't know why that happens and it is a hassle. Not only that, everytime I shut down my computer, the next time I switch it on, it still tells me that I did not shut down my computer properly and that disk checking blue screen appears.

I don't know why these symptoms are happening to my laptop.

Startup also seems pretty slow. The screen showing Windows XP and candy bar down there moves at least 12 times (even my old PC only needs 5 movement from that candy bar) before the next page loads itself.

    Help me please.
