-
Please, slower, clearer and calmer try again....
-
You might want to post a screen shot, just to help clarify the issue you're trying to describe.
-
Um i cant do that cuz i dont know when its going to happen but id did 2-3 times since i have XP... what could be the problem??
-
the screen turns blue and something white like your computer has been turned of for safty resons or something like that. Could the drivers not be OK cuz the ones i donwloaded are not original ones'?
-
With ALL my respect.
You have to be more kind or polite or even organized to ask a question, cause it´s almost impossible to understand you or your failure, you need to be more specific dude, there are trillions of failures...
Regards -
OK
When I play a game online for some time like 30 min the screen of my computer turnes blue and something is writen on (your computer is being shut down for protection) OR something like that i dont now what because then it restarts the computer so what could be the problem
And isnt it that some models of Acer cant have XP i have that model i think??
hmmm...so i have windows xp and i downloaded the drivers(i found the links on this forums) -
So it's BSOD..go to Start->Programs->Administrative Tools run Event Viewer. Go to 'System' and try to find the error( Save Dump), double click on it and post the info here. Should be something like this:
-
I think this is the one

You said you have XP right? Do you have any service pack installed? If yes, which one?
Do you let Windows to Update automatically? -
i have sp 2
windows automatic updates are turned off -
It happend a few mins ago when i was playing
-
Hmm.. do you have Creative Audigy sound card? If you do, updating the drivers should solve the problem..
If you don't, you might consider installing SP3..
I cannot find an easy solution for this BSOD..the problem could be caused by anything, -
Im checking now some forum and it says this hapens when they plan online games.
-
Ok could the updates be a problem?? Or drivers??
Or could the sond card be the case?? -
The problem could be the soundcard if, like I said before, you have Creative Audigy and you don't have the latest drivers.
If I were you, I'd install SP3.. -
But the problem is that there are no orginal drivers for some models of aspire and mine is one of them(only vista model or something like that) And the drivers i downloaded i dont know if all are ok and if i have all so if someone could be so kind and give me the links of the drivers i need plzzzz
THX -
ACER do not provide XP drivers anymore..but if you've downloaded the correct drivers it shouldn't be a problem..
You never told me if you have the Creative Audigy soundcard? -
If i checked right i dont have it
-
I think that BSOD.. just happens when i host a game throught LAN or Internet i hitnk but im not 100%
Could anyone give me links of the drivers i need plzz
that would be such a help for me -
Umm
could this be the problemn if so could u tell me what drivers i need

http://soulpass.com/2007/11/10/inst...essional-sp2-on-acer-aspire-5315-2153-laptop/
may also need a HOTFIX from MicroSoft... not sure what #
someone here will know -
Realtek R1.96(2008/6/18
) for XP
You'll need Microsoft hotfix KB888111 'High Definition Audio Package' -
man you stay up on that stuff... -
Or the guys from RealTek are really crazy, or the chip is so bad that they need to fix a lot
-
Ok i fixed the modem device
Um now where do i get PCI memory controller drivers
And whats that unknown device -
Did you ever installed chipset driver?
-
yes i have instald thoes drivers whats the unknown device
-
-
i have both and both work but what should i do with the PCI memory controller where can i find the drivers
-
that may be what the PCI MEMORY CONTROLLER is...
i've seen the RICHO driver for XP on the ACER euro website
for other Aspire models
bigO -
yes it has but i have that one instaled and i tryed again so thats not that
what could it be -
Dude, you could answer your question faster, because we're just guessing. It's really hard to find what exactly is the device with missing drivers remotely. I'd suggest to look over your laptop's specs, and check IF you are supposed to have some hardware, but cannot use it(not installed, not listed in the Device Manager). If not, its most probably the chipset driver, I'd reinstall it..
-
I would do this if I get an exclamation mark and don´t know what it is:
Right click the item with exclamation mark under device manager, choose "Properties" and then enter "Details", once in there surf the first 3, 4 or 5 items (Device Id, Hardware Id, Coincident Hardware ID, etc), it will give you some "codes" which uniquely identifies your hardware, try copy-paste and google that codes, it will luckily give you the right answer.
I´ve solved many many issues like yours with this method.
Hope it helps!!!
P.S:
REGARDS!!! -
good info there pal,,, too bad my mind has forgotten more than i care to admit -
-
