Both my father and myself bought brand new acer laptops about a year ago. I have had no problems with mine, but my father has recently had problems with his. When he boots his computer, he is rarely able to detect our internet connection, even though we have a very strong wireless router in the next room. His computer tells him that there are no networks detected about 90% of the time. After numerous reboots after this happens, he is eventually able to detect our connection, and it shows up very strong. My question is, are there any factors that would cause this problem, such as settings that may have been done incorrectly? I wouldn't imagine so since it used to work fine. But I'm wondering if there's anything we can try before he goes out and spends a ton of money on a repair service or new wireless card or something. Thanks.
