    Hello.
I have an Acer TravelMate 2490 and i think it has some sort of problem with the touchpad.More specifically the right click button.I first thought it was the external USB mouse that I was using, but i got a new one and it still does the same thing. In some first person shooters(some, not all) when i hit the right click button there is a small delay before it does what it's supposed to.And very often the mouse moves very fast across the screen when i hit the right click button on my mouse/touchpad.

If you want anymore details, just ask.

    Thanks :)

Well I don't get it. Why do you think it's a touchpad if it happens with external mouse?
You can disable touchpad in device manager to be sure it's off and test again. If it still happens to the external mouse- it's definitely not touchpad.

The touchpad suffers from the same symptoms as all the external USB mice i've tried so far.(4 mice in total).

And i tried disabling the touchpad like you said. But it didn't solve the problem.

Which means the problem is not caused by touchpad- it may be something with how Windows handles mouse (see control panel) or some software interfering.
Clean install is always an option...
