Hello I own a Aspire 5920 which contains a T5450 processor in it, I would like to upgrade it but I'm not sure on something.

My current processor runs at 34 volts and is a 65 nm, I am looking at upgrading to either a T7800, which is another standard voltage processor, or I would rather upgrade to a X7900 (an extreme processor). They both cost to same price so I'd rather go with the better processor, but my problem is that the X7900 runs at 44 volts and I don't know if my system can handle the extra voltage, any thoughts?

Better choose Penryn CPU mate, they run notably cooler than Merom ones :)

T9300 and T9500 are better choices compared to X7900 in my opinion. When I changed the CPU in my old 5920g from T7300 to T9300 the difference was obvious and the laptop run cooler.
