    Q9100, Q9200 in 8930G (1.14 bios) possible?

    Hi, i am thinking of upgrading my T9400 Processor to a Q9100 or Q9200 (ES) but am not sure will the 8930G supports it?

    From what I have read and talking to Acer, the Q91, 9200 is not supported but if your lucky enough to have the correct motherboard version (MB.ASZ0B.004) then the Q9000 will work. I have personally tried the Q9000 in mine and it was not supported. There are two versions of motherboards being used, the one that will not support C2Q Q9000 is (MB.ASZ0B.001). I hope this helps you and anyone else that reads it.

    P.S. and the BIOS only supports Q9000.

    No 8930G won't support those. Few users here tried it without success.

    recommend X9100 Core 2 Extreme which is the fastest C2D processor
