Is it possible? Both Acers use a GM45 Express chipset which shows that it is compatible. After all, the CPU only has a 45w TDP. I'd buy the Q9200, but I'm not sure which model I should get because all the Q9200 are engineering samples. Apparently QAJF has no temp sensors

Having the chipset doesn't mean that you have the needed circuity that is required by the quad. You could mod it, if it's not there, but it involves soldering and socket modding :)

I honestly don't think it requires anything of the sort seeing as several users have had no trouble installing the Q9000 into their 8935g and that has the same TDP as the QX9300. All it needs is a BIOS modification of some sort, and maybe an undervolt. I don't plan on overclocking either, I just need a quad core for it so I can play Deus Ex: HR.

Yes, Q9000 and that's it. I've looked at the schematics and I still wonder how they did it. The supporting circuity is not there, but they somehow have managed to run it. The problem is, only the Q9000 would run. Check around and prove me wrong, I know I'm not though :) If you are happy with Q9000, go ahead, but for anything else, soldering is A MUST! BIOS mod wont save you.

What circuitry is needed? I might get a solder job done since I'm desperate to turn this thing into a rig. I've also heard about some success stories with the ES Q9200's involving the 8935g.

No proof. Sorry, but I remain skeptical. If you have money to burn, go ahead, and please report with screenshots :D
