Does anyone know whether the LCD screen is fixed to run at only 60Hz? It seems a tad grainy and not very sharp. Coming from a Dell M1330, I could see a difference in contrast and colour rendering and the XPS has a bit of an edge. Even though the Acer runs at higher native resolution.

I'm pretty happy with everything else and surprised how quiet it is.

    Pros:

Very quiet most of the time
    Manages heat very well
ATI HD graphics + Intel HD
    Light and good batt life
    Good build quality
    Price

    Cons:

Wish the screen had better contrast and colour depth. Viewing angle.
Too glossy even the bezel surrounding the screen is reflective!
    No dedicated Wi-fi switch
No USB 3.0, e-SATA, firewire and expresscard slot
    Keyboard needs getting used to.
