I've just noticed that there is an update on Vista 32 on Acer ftp site, here.
What's this for ? I don't want to download it unless I don't get more info. So does anyone knows something about this?

I have no idea, will check it out and let you know.

Edit: 4GB ???!! 9 hours remaining so... ;) I'll let you know when I get it and examine it.

That file (ISO image) has been on acer's FTP for well over a year now. Apparently it is the image of the vista express upgrade CD(the upgrade kit), from that program that microsoft and the OEM manufacturers were offering when vista was first launched in early 2007. Remember the buy windows XP now and get a free upgrade to vista in march 2007.

Acer probably put that up because the express upgrade program was so poorly handled. Anyway that is a upgrade install disc for vista (32bit).

So it only works only if I have XP already-licensed? or if I try and burn that ISO I can use it as an VISTA DVD and then activate it with my key?

Nope, it should work even if you have no OS but it will work on ACER notebooks ONLY, I just ran it on my Asus notebook(because I downloaded the CD on it) and an error message poped up telling me that this isn't an ACER machine. Anyway, here's the QuickGuide:

I said 4GB because the ISO has 3,8GB filesize and I was too lazy to type 3,8 so I typed 4 instead ;)
