    Hi guys,

Just wondered.....I have an 1830T and was considering upgrading to a Samsung evo 840 512GB SDD and simply cloning the current drive with Samsung migration software and swapping over. I was also thinking about maybe installing windows 8 too but noticed that the only drivers i can see that are available are for windows 7 so maybe this is not possible.

Anyone know if I will face any issues with the SSD upgrade and also if a windows 8 install is even an option with this computer. Any help greatly appreciated

Cloning to SSD won't be an issue. Just make sure that you have an SSD that will fir in terms of height - i.e. if 1830T uses 7mm drives, don't buy a 9mm one. Samsusng EVO 840 is 7mm tall so it will fit either way.

As for the second question - you have to look for drivers for each important component yourself. I suggest you open Device Manager and cross check it with a website that offers different drivers - my suggestion would be Station-Drivers - NEWS.
