I am going to be purchasing a Ferarri 3200 soon, and I was wondering if someone could tell me if it has 1 slot open for memory. I would like to increase it's memory to 1GB but I heard that it uses 2x256MB soDIMMs.
Thanks,
Harnak

I also increased the Ram on my ferrari 3200 to 1gb. Apparently they put in two 512mb. The initial 512mb in your laptop is currently 2x256 mb and they will have to replace them.

Yes, they have two slots, both occupied by RAM for every config I looked at.

It's probably cheapest to get eh two 128's and replace them with new yourself.

I'm assuming you meant 2- 512MB's.I priced it out, and I can save ~$70 if I buy two 512's..
I'm leaning more towards that route as I have a local computer shop that would buy the 2-256MB
Thanks,

Right, I was thinking it could be bought with 256 total for some reason...

Can anyone recomend any places in the UK to pick up reasonably priced RAM? I want to get my ferrari upraded to 1 gig. But it seems very pricey - ebuyer which is usually competitive has 512 mb Acer ram at £258 per stick, which would mean it would cost me over £500 to upgrade to 1 gig - very costly! Particularly when I've just shelled out £1400 on the lap top

Any suggestions appreciated. -
Go to the UK Kingston site (Kingston.com then select UK from the drop-down menu) - Use the configurator to get a list of places to get ram modules from. They're around 80-90 quid for each 512mb module.
Another option is Kingston ValueRam, it's 333mhz DDR with CL2.5. (approx 76 quid each including vat and delivery) I've just put two sticks of this stuff in my new Aspire 2012WLMi and it's doing quite nicely.
Kingston is a great brand, a lot of laptop manufacturers actually use Kingston memory as standard.
Hope that helps.

P.S - Do you mind posting some benchmarks? My 2012WLMi gets around 9710 in 3DMark 2001SE using the latest omega drivers (omegacorner.com) - stock speeds on the gpu. -
Thanks for the info on Kingston. Looks like that the baset place to go.
I'll happily provide some bench marks for my Ferrari if you can point me in the direction of how to get them. - I'm new to all this sort of stuff.
