    Hi,
Just wondered, my 3680 Acer laptop has the chipset that lets me upgrade to a T7200.....when I do this, can I use the stock cooling that it came with, any worries? Since core 2 duo would run cooler, i would think it'd be ok, but wanted to make sure.
    Thanks

Yes, read this if you haven't yet. C2D run quite a bit cooler than the stock Celeron. I would also recommend using AS5 too as it will keep it those couple degrees cooler. In the rare case you get a bum T7200 and it runs hot you can always underclock it and it will still be quite a bit faster than any Celeron.

Modding the stock cooling system may prove to be tricky and I haven't heard of any success stories. The best thing you can do is do a thorough cleaning of the fan and vents which may be blocked up with dust if you have used it for a while.
