    Hi Acer owners and experts!

My Aspire 5002WLCi's motherboard got fried, I found a motherboard of Acer Aspire 5003WLMi ZL5 online, I was wondering if the motherboards are compatible across 5000 series. Does anyone know? It would be a ton of help, thank you.

I doubt it. Laptops aren't like desktops. The one good thing at least with my mobo is acer made it so it's more likely to be available in a couple of years. Try contacting Acer.

Yes it is. Aspire 300x and 500x all have the same mobo. The difference is in the processor.

If thats the case, can another processor (like duo core) be installed in the Aspire 3680?

The processor compability is determined by the chipset of the mobo.

Still, can the 3680's processor be upgraded and if so, to what?
