I did a BIOS flash, and ever since then, there have memory errors. I'm not sure if that was the problem, but it was then that I noticed them. Anyways, I'm trying to figure out what kind of memory I should upgrade to, but I don't know if there're specific manufacturers that make Acer-Aspire/Laptop memory chips.

    Any pointers out there, people?

[sorry if I never did this properly, i'm new to this forum]

Thanks for the future help.

    Welcome to the forums... :)

First verify what memory your aspire uses ( you didn't say what aspire series you have) using CPU-Z. Then once you know what type of ram your notebook uses whether it be DDR or DDR2 you can take a look at the Ram Deals thread to see the best deals on ram so you can upgrade.

    Hope this helps you...

Seems like lately flashing the BIOS is the answer to all problems. Bye bye and good luck. In 16 Years of computer experience, with all OS from 98 to XP including ME I have yet to flash a BIOS for it to sort out my problem ****.

    Think, think and think again.
