    Quick question about videocard 8930G

    Can someone confirm that the following card:

    VG.9EG06.001 (= 9700M GT MXM III)

    ...will work in an Acer Aspire 8930G?

    According to the service manual the Acer Aspire 8930G uses MXM III, correct?

    I need to upgrade to a different card, after I flashed the old card (9600M GT) wrongly and cannot revert it back. Stupid I know.

    Yes- that's the right card and it will work.

    8930G uses MXM III as you mentioned and the card in question is listed in FRU in the service manual.

    That's what I thought as well. Thanks.
    ...and regarding the heatpiptes and such, would they still fit on the 9700M GT or doesn't that matter.
