Hey guys, sorry for the stupid question, but I am very new to notebook computers so here goes.

I am used to having a desktop that I leave on all the time.

I have had my TravelMate 290 on for quite a bit now, and it's definately starting to get warm. Are notebook computers not meant to be left on for long periods of time (ie, always) when plugged in?

This is a Pentium-M processor, so it uses less power, therefore gives off less heat, but like I said....its still feeling a bit warm. Am I worrying for no reason, or should I shut this bad boy down and give it a break? I've had it running downloading torrents for quite a while now heh.

Notebooks all get warm, some get hot even. There's no reason to worry, but I would have it go to sleep after several minutes of inactivity.
