Hi everyone.
I have just upgraded from Windows 7 RTC Ultimate to Windows 7 RTM pro.
The weird things is, that there are two hidden partitions:![]()
There are two hidden partitions and they have both 100% free disc space. I know one of them is the recovery from Acer, but it says nothing of the disc space is used !Luckily, I have a recovery CD.
Another weird thing is in Auslogic Disc Defrag:![]()
There are a removal drive and it's leading to the Windows folder on the C:\ drive O_O?
I'm a bit confused.
Kind Regards powerfull499

The space has probably been deleted. I installed windows 7 and I cannot press alt f10 and restore from hard drive anymore, I have to use the disks, glad I made the disks before installing windows 7! I just deleted the partitions and made the extra space, dont really need it as my laptop has 1000GB anyway but I sort of wanted to clean it up

Thanks Nick!
! I think mine got deleted too. How to delete them and give the extra space to my C, or D drive? Can I use a program?

LOL! Mine still locked because while installing Windows 7, I have those 2 partition live-on. I only clear-up C: for the installation.
I still can access the 2 partitions if I roll-back to OEM Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit with Acer's Bloatware. -
Just right click and delete the partitions, then expand your C or D drive.

haha same thing happened here
maybe ill try out ubuntu or something on it... is 13.5GB enough for it? -
That is more than enough for Ubuntu. Just beware, if you delete any partitions placed BEFORE your Windows partition, you may have problems.
Also, the Windows 7 boot loader usually goes on the FIRST accessible partition. That on mine means its actually on the recovery partition and if I delete it, I can no longer boot Windows.
So generally its a huge risk deleting any partition that is positioned before your Windows C: drive unless you know how to reinstall the boot loader. Deleting any partition AFTER your C: drive should not cause any problems at all though. -
how can i tell if the partition comes before or after my windows partition?
-
Hmmm. Does it mean I have to reinstall the whole system.. AGAIN!?
So, I just put my boot dvd in my drive, come to the screen, and delete the two partitions, and then expand the C or D drive? -

Sorry for double post, but I fixed it!
I downloaded Easeus Partition Master (Free utility), and extended my C-drive. As the other guy said, I was unable to boot windows. Luckily I had made a backup on the D-drive, so I just reinstalled Windows.
Thanks for the help everybody!
Really weird partitions?
