With my PC I can record streamed audio via Audacity. However I can only see the microphone as an input source for I/O inputs. I have looked at all settings and cannot find anything relevant. It seems you cannot also run the Realtek control panel presumably this is a Acer configuration.

If anyone has any experieince with this would appreciate some help.

Go to Control Panel and see if you have Acer HD Audio Manager, that takes place over Realtek's control panel :)

Hi - Yes I have the Acer Audio Manager but cannot see anywhere to set output - apart from the microphone which does appear as an output in audacity.

Try with right clicking on your volume icon in the sys tray and choose Playback/Recording Devices.

and then choose recording devices > in the big white box at the centre press right click and tick ''show disabled devices'' and ''show disconnected devices'', it might appear then. If what you are looking for is disabled or disconnected, it will not appear in the Acer HD audio control panel.
