To cut a long story short: I've messed up the MBR on my AS5024. I tried to reinstall Windows using the recovery discs: I followed the procedure, but after it says to remove the Recovery disc the system reboots, but nothing happens. I tried using the D2D recovery, but ALT+F12 doesn't work either  .

    Any ideeas?

I know it may sound lame, but many have over looked it- Make sure it's trying to boot off the HD. Does it come up with any errors?

In BIOS it is set to boot from the HD. After the POST I get a black screen with the text cursor blinking in the upper left corner :(
