    Hi,
The Hard drive on my four year old Acer Aspire 5620 has completely died. I am thinking of buying a new replacement internal HD and buying and reinstalling Windows XP on to it. I no longer have my boot or backup disc, or any of the original documentation. It was originally running windows XP home edition and was purchased in 2006. Can this be done as easily, and what would be the best steps to take? What are the most important things to consider before I buy a new HD and Windows software?

    Thanks,
    Fergal
