We have an Aspire 4720Z. It didn't come with a remote control but it appears to have an IR port and I know that other models come with an Acer remote control. I have called Acer but they didn't seem to know anything about the computer. I would like to know if there is somewhere that I could buy a remote or even better, could I use one of my existing universal remotes. I want to be able to use it when I am viewing movies I download so that I can pause, stop, FF, etc. If I can use a universal remote, how do I know what codes to use to activate it?

Check out acer.com and choose your model and download or read online the User's Manual. That's what I do for technical glitches in my mind.

I checked Acer.com and I called the support number. Neither provides any information. It seems like a really simple problem. Some Acer models come with a remote control and I would just like to buy that remote control for a reasonable price or find a way to use one of my universal remotes. I would think that with Netflix now providing unlimited downloads of movies and the media center capabilities of Vista Home Premium a lot of people would be interested in this.
