I am having issues with a new mouse and am wondering if something is amiss with my windows XP installation.

I was wondering if there is a way to run the backup disk I made to scan the system for problems rather than returning the system to its original state so that I do not have to back up everything and retweak my entire system.

I have done it on Compaq's etc, can I do it with my Acer?

    Thanks
