I ordered a replacement keyboard for my out of warranty Aspire 1692 laptop. I cannot find anything on the Acer website to help me figure out how to get the old keyboard out. Has anyone succeeded in doing this and could you please tell me how to do it?? Thanks for any help!!

Never mind, I finally found an article buried on Acer's website. It's really easy, you remove the 3 screws under the LCD screen and this will allow you to remove the top inch of the plate that covers the top of the keyboard. Then you can easily switch out the keyboard. Wish I had been able to find this much earlier on!! Hope this helps anyone else who needs to do it.
