    Hi,

I picked up a 9600m GT on ebay and need help removing the bottom cover. The full bottom panel needs to be removed as it is trapping the copper pipes from the heatsink. Can anyone direct me to a guide on how this is done on a 7720g?

    Thanks for any replies

Never mind, found a link to the repair guide myself.

In case anyone is interested, here is a link to a page with repair manuals for all acer models

It is against forum rules to link to sites that contain Acer service guides, as they are violating the EULA contained within the service guide itself.

How come you need to remove the whole bottom cover. When removing the graphics card, I only needed to remove the processor and graphics card heat-sinks. With a tiny little bit of effort you can maneuver the heat-sinks out of the bottom-cover's way.

My apologies, I didn't know this.

To the post above, I didn't know you had to remove the fan and CPU heatsink before removing the GPU, all clear now though :)
