I'm going to get a WD or Samsung 160 GB IDE/ATA for a TM 800, and I was just wondering if there are any model specific reasons why this wouldn't work?
I dunno what that could be, but I thought I'd better ask before I order the HD.

There's no trouble for me installing a new HD or OS.

    Thanks! :)

    Thanks for your help!

With model specific I meant if the TM 800 have had any issues with the above HD's, or large capacity HD's in general. That's why I posted in the Acer forum.

When it comes to HD recommendation I check www.silentpcreview.com (either reviews or forums) as noise is a concern for me.

Calling WD unknown as a 2.5" HD manufacturer seems a little bit outdated to me. Samsung is not even listed. The post is almost 2 years old so that explains why.
