    My HDD (160GB) is working but i dont have much space left and wanted to know what the biggest hdd i can put in it is and how easy it is to copy all of the files across as i dont have a disc to reinstall the operating system. Thanks for your help

    You can put in whatever 2.5" drive you like. 320GB is the largest easily available size.
    It is easy to copy over, you just need a program that will do that like Symantec GHOST or what not. It also is faster if you have a way of connecting both drives at the same time (say, in a desktop) to do the copying.

    You can also buy a 2.5 external enclosure, and copy it from your laptop.

    Installing a new hard drive is easy.Unscrew back cover for hard drive,unplug, take off old hard drive off the mounting, install new hard drive and plug in and replace cover.

    Make sure you have a Sata HD and not a Pata HD before you buy.

    For external enclosure for a Sata drives I like the Thermaltake docking station.

    i found that the 500gb wont its 3mm too thick, so it looks like its gonna be the 320gb
