Hello fellow members, hope you are well.

I received a refurbished laptop 2 weeks ago (some deal on Newegg), and I tried to use voice chat yesterday, having a really loud electronic/buzzing sound, then all the sudden mic. died. It still shows under device but will not respond to any tapping. Also, during a video call, the camera shows normal to me, but the opposite end sasys I show up as a green/blue color. I tried reinstalling the drivers with no change. I figured it could be the hardware. I contacted Acer online and they said my laptop was out of warranty.

Does anybody have instructions on how to replace the mic/webcam for the Helios 300? Should I start by prying the sides of the screen open?

Thank you in advance! Any advice is welcomed.
