I have the 5920G and plan to reinstall vista when service pack one comes out but also want to shrink the C: partition. My question is once I've shrunk the C: partition will I still be able to use acer's factory restore function or will it not work due to not recognizing the new partition size?
Thanks

I've resized mine and the recovery still worked fine

Thanks for the reply. What did you resize it from/to? I'd like to get my C drive down to 25GB from 69GB

I've got mine on 30G I think, I made D: bigger and store everything there. Only C: gets wiped with recovery, but it will only reload the original O/S.
Not sure if your familiar with ghost program. I actually use it and just backup C: partition to a image file on D: then if I want to reload I use a bootable ghost cd and just restore the image file. -
I have done exactly that in the past with my desktop and previous laptop using acronis true image. I plan to use true image again on this laptop when I repartition but just wanted to check whether if that process were for whatever reason to go wrong I could still use the factory restore. Just being overly cautious I guess.
