    Revamp of this thread.
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=3215588

So i go and email Acer about this and heres what i say.

"Simple Question, Yet hard to explain.
I spent time on this and i greatly appreciate your time answering me.
    Br,
    Tom

so the questions. then ill explain why im confused.

    my question is 7 part
    1. can i upgrade the cpu to one or all of the 5 directly below these questions?
    2. If so what Sodimm DDR2 Ram DDR2 533 or 667 or 800 MHZ For each CPU?
    3. Can the notebook FSB run at all 3 533, 667 or 800Mhz ?
    4. What is Max Ram size at the available upgrade CPUs ?
    5. What is Max Ram Size at current T2370 (1M Cache, 1.73 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)?
    6. Confirm the OS for the system should be 64bit not 32 bit?
    7. the OS says its a 965 chipset yet link one says 960 and link 2 below says 960/965 chipset ?

    Intel® Core™2 Duo Processors
    T7100 (2M Cache, 1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) I assume DDR2 800 mhz @ 4GB
    T7300 (4M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) I assume DDR2 800 mhz @ 4GB
    T7500 (4M Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) I assume DDR2 800 mhz @ 4GB
    T7700 (4M Cache, 2.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) I assume DDR2 800 mhz @ 4GB
    T2390 (1M Cache, 1.86 GHz, 533 MHz FSB) I assume DDR2 533 mhz @ 4GB

ok heres why im so confusde
Every thing is contradicting itself from the notebook itself stating its a Intel® Pentium® Processor T2370 (1M Cache, 1.73 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)

and the documents for this notebook on your site is contradicting to each other and the notebook labels/cpu inside it.

at Acer Support - Extensa 4620Z Series Specifications (link 1 below) it says it has a T2310/T2330 CPU (thats not what lable says)

and in the user guide page 21 it says its either one of these. (link 2 below)
Intel® Centrino® Duo mobile processor technology, featuring:
    T7700 (4 MB L2 cache, 2/2.2/2.4 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) and
    T7100 (2 MB L2 cache, 1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel® Celeron® Processor 530/540/550 (1 MB L2 cache,
1.73/1.86/2.0 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)or higher, supporting Intel® 64 architecture (for selected models)

(you can see why im more confused than before as now 2 documents are conflicting each other and the notebook itself..

I don't see what the problem is.

If you have the PM965 chipset then any socket P CPU with an 800mhz FSB should work (but the extreme versions may not).

Download CPUz and check what chipset it has. Then you will know if you can use a CPU with the 800mhz FSB.
