I am trying to get a colour picture on my TV from my Acer notebook running Windows Basic Vista. I have a picture but it is black and white.

    Cheers PoppyS

Nominally I would say it's because your S-Video cable is bad, I had that issue a while back and replaced my S-Video cable and it worked fine.

I suggest you get a S-Vid to Composite (RCA/Phono connector) inline changer then try it setting video mode as composite. Worked on my old Compaq and my desktop.

    -OR-

Maybe just change from S-Vid to Composite in the properties option .. that may work.
