i used to connect my notebook to the tv through the s-video port to watch movies. now after a while of not using it, i get no signal on the tv. i got a new s-video cable, but still no signal is transferred to the tv. any idea what might be the problem??

You need to configure your graphics card settings, or your TV settings. Unless you've damanged your S-video port!

No worries, hmm, maybe your TV isn't being detected? I always though S-video is a bit dodgy. I'll stick with DVI and digital input if i were you though.

If I want to watch a movie from the laptop on the TV, can I connect via the DVI port? is it outgoing? how is the cable connected to the TV? through which entry?
