    Which is the difference?

Im thinking about buying acer timeline with SU4100 , does watching divx, movies, multitasking work? And does dvd's stutter ?

is it alot slower than su7300 ?

You probably can't tell the difference between them unless you're trying to use Virtualization (which the 4100 can't do).

1Mb cache size difference, if that makes a tiny tiny difference in battery life.

You won't see much difference even with the 1410/SU2300 (1MB cache, 1.2GHz CPU). The dual core architecture really helps with HD video.

I have an 1810T and a 1410/SU2300. So far, both are really snappy.

My 4810 has the SU4100 processor. It works fine in playing Youtube HD, the CPU touches 70-80% constantly, but delivers a smooth output.

I tried installing the Virtual Box VM, the issue was the RAM size not the CPU even in tis case. I need to upgrade it from 2Gb to 4Gb. While the Vm was running there was hardly any RAM space left free. The CPU was always aroung 50% while the VM was working.

I did a full system scan using Norton 2010 internet security and woops the CPU went directly to 90%. I was just browsing at the same time, I didn't even know that the CPU touched the top limit till I saw the Norton Console displaying the information.

Till now I am pretty happy with the processor. Now I need to use it for some heavy duty application and see how it fares. Running a database and application webserver will definitley give a better picture about the processor capability. But that will take bit more time as I am engaged with an activity right now.
