There's a scratch on my brand new laptop...don't know how it got there! Actually, there's multiple ones. What can I do to make it less visible? It really bothers me! Thanks

    Tech_Girl,

Didn't you say the sales rep scratched it when he put your display model back into the display case, or is this a different unit?

The only way to hide scratches is to either cover the area with some matching paint or re-paint the whole unit. Since this is plainted plastic, I wouldn't recommend any polish/buffing compound as this may make it worse and leave you with a large dark spot.

This is the same laptop...scratched by the sale's rep. But the scratch I'm talking about isn't the one he did....it's on the top of the lid. You can see it in certain lights but not all.

Not much anyone can do :(

If its there - then its there, it's a tool, and things get scratched in the process :(

You can try contacting Acer and tell them there's a scratch on the LCD cover and it was like that when you pulled it out of the box. They might repair it for you under warranty, but they may not, 50-50 chance.
