    I have an acer 5920g.
I recently installed battlefield2142 demo on the laptop. in order for it to work i needed to install direct 9. i did and it work however the problem is that everytime on boot up the screen resolution is going to its LOWEST.

why is this happening? can this be solved???????

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the graphics display drivers?

If you need them you can get the drivers directly from the Acer support FTP site or you can try sourcing the latest driver from your graphics adapter manufacturers website. (e.g. Nvidia or maybe Intel)

Make sure you have installed the latest DirectX version for your PC. DirectX 9.0c or if you have Windows Vista, DirectX 10 is available.
