    screen problem

    I have a Acer Aspire 1650z it has just developed screen problem, a white band from the top of the screen to the bottom, about 30mm wide is there anything i can do

    If you problem is there only "inside" windows, you may try changing your video card drivers, but it´s there since you turn on you computer, seems you have to contact SAT for help.

    what is SAT and how can i contact them

    I have a Acer laptop with the same problem. Its probably the LCD screen. You can verify it by using an external monitor. If it doesn't show up on the external monitor then you have a bad LCD.

    This is a common a fault with the LCD panel. Its caused by the LCD antennae which run down the back of the LCD panel and cause interference with the panel. To prove this gently squeeze the top of the white band and it should dissapear till you let go. There is a fix for it, but first you need a new panel
