    Hey all,
I have owned my 4820tg (the one with the 6550m) for about 1.5 months, and I noticed a bright spot in the upper right hand corner. Because the screen the 4820tg is, quite frankly, crap, I was wondering what screens are eligible for replacement that are better. Im not looking to increase the resolution, just better contrast/brightness/viewing angles. Any info is helpful.
    Thanks

This is kind of a necropost, but it is important. This screen replacement is now more urgent, because _another_ bright spot has appeared in the lower right hand corner. Again: I am looking for a good screen to replace the default 4820tg screen.

I can't find one either. They are all glossy. Keep checking here when they have them back in stock. laptopscreen.com

Lookup hootoo.com. They have a lot of close matches. I'd give them a call and see which ones they think will match the 4820T/TG To see what part numbers there are listed for official screens in the service manual, dl the manual here and go to page 160.

That would be nice. My lawn also needs mowing.
EDIT: I found some sites. These are my options, glossy or matte http://www.screencountry.com/index....ASPIRE 4820TG-6847 TIMELINEX&brand=Acer&size=

I would like to have a matte screen but I also use this laptop for basic gaming (TF2, etc.) and so pretty colors + contrast is kind of important

To be honest, I have never bought a screen replacement for any of my past laptops.. So I have no idea about those sellers or what/where you should by from :) I did my help by providing you the part store to Acer. Check the connecters are same, only advice I can give. Also, gave you link to Acer parts because if there is any other Acer at same size you want you can just buy from there and it is still a 'genuie' Acer. However, it won't be a problem if you don't go for really cheap ebay china thing.. :)
