Been having a play with screen resolution ( in response to another problem -- will post about that later ), and wondered what would be the "correct" resolution to use.
Am running Vista HP. The native resolution of the screen is I believe 1440/900 and this gives the clearest text by far although small. I have been using 1152/864 for ages though.
1440/900 seems to give an incorrect aspect ratio, things are a little to tall. 1152/864 seems best aspect ratio wise.
Then theres the DPI setting, set to 120 at the moment.
The bottom line is 1152/864 gives the "best" aspect ratio/text size in my case, yet I realise how clear the text could be at the higher resolution.
Is this just a compromise I have to accept ?
