I have my acer 5672wlmi hooked up to my dell monitor (primary) and have the desktop extend to the laptop itself. I was minding my own business last night when I heard a zap or pop type sound and my laptop screen went black. I can't get it to work anymore. I bet it's dead. Thank god I have it hooked up to my dell widescreen. A few weeks ago the laptop monitor had a slight reddish color to it, but I didn't think it was a big deal because it would fade out after a while.

So, am I screwed? I tried reinstalling drivers, running the laptop without the dell monitor and nothing. Just a nice black screen...

    Argh...

OK, it's the backlight lamp. I see a faint image still and when i tap the lid button or the fn+f6 it flickers on for a second.

    Any way of replacing that?
