    Second screen stopped working

    Hi,
    I had this laptop Aspire V5 531/571 for two weeks and it was working perfectly.
    When I turned the comp on this morning I had a black screen on both monitors after the initial Acer logo, To cut it short. after some mucking about I disconnected the second monitor and it came alive, I can log in and use it normally but as soon as I connect the sec. monitor both go black. Worse thing is that I had my office apps open on the second monitor and now I don't lnow how to shift it back to the main screen. Of course I'd like to the second monitor working as well!
    Have done nothing I'm aware of that would cause this, the sec monitor works fine with and other comp. Windows automatic update is on.

    8G of RAM 750 HD Win8.1

    Any ideas?
