Hi everyone I'm having some real issues with my Laptop, one of which is not specifically to do with mine.

My main problem with my Acer Aspire 6920g Laptop is the Empowering Technology Application I have installed. Due to a graphics issue, which I assumed would be resolved by restoring my system state to factory settings, I now find that attempting to access Acer Bio Protection results with a pop-up window stating:

    "Application Error"
Exception EIntfCastError in module SysSet.exe at 00000000.
    Interface not supported

    Any Ideas?

Also, due to some lacklustre browsing done by a house mate without any virus protection has led to the infection of my machine which now broadcasts a signal out. Consequently when I return home each term my house's router is bombarded with DoS attacks. What can I do to stop this? I am currently using Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and Noadware 5. Neither find anything that has so far stopped the problem

    Regards
    Renz

    Hi.

I'd suggest a clean install if possible, followed by reinstalling the Bio Protection. That'd certainly sort out the DoS attacks and hopefully sort the Bio Protection too.

Just be sure to backup whatever data you can first, and before restoring it be sure to run it through a battery of anti virus tests (the more you can access the better IMO)

    Hope this helps.
