My laptop has had a power problem. The power button and status indicator lights start flashing simultaneosly. The computer loses power and begins to run off the battery, then dies completely when the battery is dead. It won't power up at all if I remove the battery.
It is under warranty. I sent it to Acer for repair. They replaced the motherboard. When returned it functioned for a day or two, then the same thing happened.
I returned it for the second time. They replaced the motherboard and the hard drive. It seemed like a new, clean computer. Oddly, when I went into control panel/system info it said it was a model 7520, but I sent them a 5520. The serial number did not match either. After an hour or two, the same thing happened.
I just returned it or a third time. What can I do? Ask them for a brand new computer? I'm starting to get a bit exasperated. I'm wondering if their technicians know what they are doing.
